Anonymous mock coffee chats · Real bankers · Written feedback

Coffee chats are the real first round.
Walk in ready.

Banking careers are decided in “casual” conversations long before HR ever calls. WallStreetMeet matches you with a practicing investment banker at your top target firms for an anonymous 30‑minute chat — real questions, zero sugarcoating, and structured written feedback after.

  • Hand-matched in 24–48 hours
  • Anonymous by design
  • Feedback in writing, every time

Who we are

We connect candidates with practicing investment bankers at the firms they target — for the candid, off‑the‑record conversation that recruiting never gives them.

The process

How it works

  1. 01

    Apply in five minutes

Tell us who you are, pick your three target firms and groups, and attach a real resume. A person — not a bot — reads every application.

  2. 02

    We hand-match you

Within 24–48 hours we pair you with a verified banker at one of your top-three firms, matched to your target group and situation. You get timing options and exact terms by email before you commit to anything.

  3. 03

    The chat

Thirty minutes, live video, banker anonymous. Treat it like the real thing — because it is run exactly like the coffee chats that quietly decide who gets first-round invites.

  4. 04

    The debrief

Your banker writes up what would have cut you in a real process, what worked, and precisely what to fix — the feedback candidates never get to hear.

The model

Why our bankers stay anonymous

Candor needs cover. Bankers quietly screen candidates over “casual” chats every recruiting season — and they can never tell you what they really think with their name attached. Ours can. No names, no risk to them, no sugarcoating for you.

Verified, not vague

Every mentor is vetted by our team — firm, seat, and seniority confirmed — before they ever see a candidate. Anonymous to you; fully known to us.

Honesty by construction

Nothing is on the record, so nothing gets softened. If your story is weak, you will hear it here — not in silence after a superday.

Their call to unmask

Some mentors choose to reveal themselves after a strong chat. That is entirely up to them. You’re encouraged to show up as yourself — practicing under your own name is half the training.

FAQ

Questions, answered straight

Who exactly are the bankers?

Practicing investment bankers — analyst through managing director — currently at the firms in our network, across both U.S. coasts and Asia. We verify employment, seat, and seniority ourselves before a mentor takes a single chat.

Is this affiliated with the banks?

No. Mentors participate independently, anonymously, and in a personal capacity. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any bank or university named on this site.

Why anonymous? Isn’t that a red flag?

The opposite — it’s the mechanism. Anonymity is what buys you the version of the conversation bankers have about candidates, not with them. It also protects mentors, which is why senior people are willing to do this at all.

What does it cost?

Pricing depends on your match — firm, seniority, and timing — and is quoted in your match email before you commit to anything. Applying is free, and you only pay to confirm a booking.

How fast will I hear back?

A person reviews every application, typically within 24–48 hours. If we can’t match you well, we’ll tell you that instead of forcing a bad fit.

Do you guarantee interviews or offers?

No — and you should run from anyone who does. We guarantee a verified banker, a real conversation, and written feedback. What you do with it is what moves the outcome.

I’m a career switcher, not a student. Is this for me?

Yes. A large share of our clients are early-career professionals breaking in from adjacent seats — consulting, Big 4, corporate finance, law. Say so in your application and we’ll match you with a banker who made a similar move or hires people who did.

What happens to my resume and information?

Your application goes to our review team, is used only to evaluate fit and arrange your match, and is never sold. With your consent — a box you check on the application — it’s shared with your matched banker so they can prepare. Details in our privacy policy. Questions: support@wallstreetmeet.com.
